The rule of Mamluk is broken down into two periods: The Bahri period from 1250-1382, and the Burji period from 1382-1517. This civilization was majority Muslim. Their economy was based on agriculture, and their main exports were cotton and sugar cane. Other exports included glass, soap, and paper.
