London Cholera Outbreak (aug 31, 1854 – sep 10, 1854)
Description:
After several outbreaks in London, a major outbreak of Cholera occurred in the Soho area of London. By the time it ran it's course, 616 people had been killed. The outbreak was investigated by physician John Snow who eventually linked the outbreak to a contaminated water supply. John Snow's investigation was used as an example for investigating pandemics ever since.
