French Invasion of Algeria (jun 14, 1830 – jul 7, 1830)
Description:
After turbulent foreign relations with the Ottoman controlled Algeria, Charles X decided that more forceful actions were required in order to restore the area. The French quickly invaded and placed Algeria under French rule. Resistance was common, and the French fought against rebels for close to 45 years.
