Compromise (feb 6, 1820 – mar 8, 1820)
Description:
In an effort to preserve the balance of power in Congress, the Missouri Compromise was passed which made Missouri a slave state and Maine a free state. Plus, with the exception of Missouri, this law prohibited slavery in the Louisiana Territory.
