Occupation: At the age of seventeen entered the employment of J.B. Barnaby & Co., with whom he remained twenty-five year, for the last twelve being a member of the firm.

Retiring in 1892, he entered the firm of W.J Braitsch & Co., manufacturers of sterling silverware.

Other Offices: He was a member of the committees on Special Legislation, Charities and Corrections, and the Joint Committee on Rules and Orders, and was a director in the Providence Board of Trade, the Rhode Island Electric and Protective Company, and in several National banks. Taken highest orders in Masonry.

Other Information:
His paternal great-grandfather fought in the Revolution and Patrick Pearce, a maternal ancestor, came over in the Mayflower. His brother was the first Mayor of Woonsocket, George H. Grant
