Battle of Coral Sea (may 4, 1942 – may 8, 1942)

Description:

Fought from May 4th, 1942, through May 8th, 1942, the Battle of Coral Sea was an attack by the US and Australia against Japan. Throughout the battle, Japan was trying to upgrade its overall defense, by taking over countries such as Port Moresby in New Guinea and Tulagi in the Solomon Islands. Although Japan was declared the "winner" due to losses, the allies felt their first jolt of excitement because it was their first stall against the axis.
