The Step Reckoner (jan 1, 1672 – jan 1, 1694)

Description:

The universal language in which computers carry out processor instructions first originated in the 17th century. This universal language was in the form of the binary numerical system and was developed by Gottfried Wilhelm Leibniz, a German philosopher and mathematician. He was also known as the inventor of calculus and invented the binary numerical system somewhere around 1679. He also created the "Step Reckoner", which was a digital mechanical calculator around 1672, and completed it in 1694. It could perform addition, subtraction and multiplication.
