Pharaoh Djoser (jan 1, 2667 BC – jan 1, 2656 BC)

Description:

King Djoser is very significant as he is the first Pharaoh to have built a pyramid. it is named the Step Pyramid, as it is multiple mastaba's (original tombs of the kings) stacked on top of each other to give it a step like appearance. It was designed by the famous Egyptian architect Imhotep, Djoser's vizier. Djoser is also significant for launching many military campaigns in Nubia and Sinai to increase Egypt's mineral wealth.
