Polynesian Colonisation of the South Pacific (jan 1, 400 – jan 1, 1290)

Description:

Many people colonised the South Pacific, but from 400 -1290, Polynesia colonised much of the South Pacific. Polynesian explorers and voyagers had been sailing the seas with complex navigation and sailing techniques for many years. These people travelled to the islands scattered along the north shore of New Guinea, and then by 1500 BC, they moved along the Solomon Island chain to the Vanuatu Archipelagos.
