Johnny Depp & Amber Heard: Rio de Janeiro (sep 21, 2015 – sep 25, 2015)

Whitney accompanied Johnny Depp and Amber Heard to Rio although it was claimed at the London Trial that Whitney and Amber were not on good terms during this time due to accusations of leaking information to the media made by Johnny. Whitney had not moved out of the ECB Penthouse after the March staircase incident but rather after the April trip to New York during which Amber became so angry she had thrown wine over her sister. Whitney retained direct contact with Johnny Depp during her stay with Jennifer Howell.

Johnny Depp, Amber Heard and Whitney H have said there was an argument whilst in Rio de Janeiro as Amber wished to leave early to attend an audition for Aquaman. However as the trip was barely 4 days long this hardly makes any sense. Indeed, in the recording of 26 September 2015 Johnny does ask why Amber travelled to Rio if she had to be in LA ‘for her thing’.


To appease Amber Heard Johnny Depp had left the after party for The Hollywood Vampires after two hours, returned to the hotel for the luggage and to be collected by a bus to take them to the airport for the booked private flight. Apparently the bus was late but made up time on the way so they arrived at the plane as scheduled. They landed in LA later the same day which was only a few hours earlier than originally planned had they travelled with the rest of the band, however Amber was not happy and there was a disagreement on the plane.

Whilst in Rio de Janeiro Amber Heard ensured she achieved some positive press - staged a shopping trip walking through the old town, placed herself front and centre with the Starkey Hearing Foundation event despite the fact that it was a venture between Starkeys and the Hollywood Vampires (particularly Alice Cooper) and attended the concert in rock chick mode.
