Description:
When Robespierre, the leader of the Committee of Public Safety, declares that terror would be the "rule of the day" for the revolutionary government, the Reign of Terror starts. The Reign of Terror was a period during the French Revolution when, after the establishment of the First French Republic, a series of atrocities and mass beheadings occurred. This ends in July 27th 1794 as Robespirre is overthrown.Added to timeline:
