Plessy v Ferguson (apr 13, 1896 – may 18, 1896)
Description:
It is a US Supreme Court case that upheld the rights of states to pass laws allowing radical segregation in public or private places. It strengthened the ability of southern states to pass Jim Crow laws discriminating against African Americans. Enshrined the "separate but equal" doctrine.
