Triangle Trade (jul 8, 1562 – dec 1, 1807)

Description:

The Triangle Trade was the way in which the Slave Trade worked. National Geographic (4) describes how this cycle worked in this explanation, "The 'Triangle Trade' made Hawkins and other slave traders huge profits hauling human cargo from AFrica to the Americas. The other sides of the triangle were shipping sugar, tobacco, and cotton to Europe, and finished goods such as textiles to Africa," (National Geographic 1). This system that was put into work due to it's effectiveness and efficiency, made the Slave trade even more prominent.

(4) National Geographic is part of the National Geographic Society, which has continued to publish it's magazine since 1888.
