1st Industrial Revolution (jan 1, 1760 – jan 1, 1840)

Description:

Accelerated developments of technology and its application to the industry.

People moved from the countryside to the city. Workers had harsh labor conditions and because of the great demand, wages decreased. There was a dramatic population increase due to better nutrition thus there was a surge in production of goods of daily usage.

It changed the economical, social, political, and ideological aspects of the end of 18th and mid 19th century people. It even created a new social class: proletariat.
