Description:
"land of the gold". Monopoly in mining gold: people could keep the gold dust, but had to give gold nuggets to the kingdom, making them very powerful.One of the first lands outside of the orbit of the caliphate to experience a peaceful conversion of Islam (likely due to trans-saharan trade route).
Eventually falls and replaced with Mali
