The Korean War (jan 1, 1950 – jul 27, 1953)

Description:

The Korean War was initially fought to keep communism from spreading, but as it progressed, it changed to liberating North Korea from communism. However, this went poorly for the Allied armies, because that summer was one of the hottest summers, and Allied forces had to resort to drinking water from rice paddies that had been fertilized with human waste. The War reached a stalemate when both sides realized they couldn't keep fighting, and an armistice was signed on July 27, 1953.
