Spainish Flu (jul 22, 1918 – jul 22, 1919)
Description:
The Spanish Flu appeared around the world after the end of WWI. It infected the Americas Europe it even affected people in the Arctic. The disease was cause by a strand of influenza, the origins of it has been disputed but the majority point at Asia, Spain, and Kansas as ground zero for the disease. The disease had all the same effects of the common flu but was able to infect the weak and healthy alike. The disease caused the immune system to go into hyperdrive resulting in death, although it could also have been caused by a infection that followed after the disease. It's estimated to have killed 20 to 40 million people. With a mortality rate of killing 20% of people it infected. The Spanish Flu ended after swept through the population leaving those it infected either immune or dead.
