Jim Crow Era (feb 1, 1887 – jan 1, 1964)
Description:
The Jim Crow era was a time when there were many racially based laws that segregated black people from society such as different water fountains, different bathrooms, bus seating, education, the list goes on. The whole idea that fueled this era was 'separate but equal', even though there is nothing equal about separation.
