Period (jan 1, 892 – jan 1, 936)
Description:
In the later Samguk era (892 ~ 936), when Silla and Balhae of the North and South Korea era were connected. The period is when the king of Munchuneju (current Gwangju) called himself the monarch till when Wang Geon reunites Korea and founds Goryeo. Since the period of Goguryeo, Baekje, and Silla were concurrently referred to as the Three Kingdoms period, this period is called the Later Samguk Period to distinguish it from the Samguk Kingdoms period. It is also called the post-war period including the Bohai Sea. This period later leads to the Goryeo Dynasty.
