The Nanjing Decade (jan 1, 1927 – jan 1, 1937)
Description:
- the richer part of China (green part) was back under the control of the Chinese government
- Cinjiang had its own regime
- Mongolia had declared indpenence
- Tibet was its own country
- the grey and yellow parts still controlled by warlords
- The Japanese controlled Manchuria as of 1932(purple, Manchukuo established as puppet state with Puyi in charge)
- the Japanese never declared the part below Manchukuo but had significant influence
- established the new capital of China in Nanjing
- ten years of peace before the Japanese invaded China
- however most of the foreign concessions remained in place (at least until the Japanese invade in 37, and abolished in 43)
