Salutary Neglect (jan 1, 1607 – jan 1, 1763)

Description:

The British during this time really didn't pay much mind to the colonists and really allows them to do a lot on their own. An example being them not really putting an enforcement on the Navigation Act of 1651, which declared that only English ships would be allowed to bring goods into England, and that the North American colonies could only export its commodities, such as tobacco and sugar, to England.
