Alien & Sedition Acts (jun 1, 1798 – jul 1, 1798)

Description:

These were a set of Acts to control National Security of the Nation.

Those Acts being:
- Naturalization Act: raised to 14 years of residency to be able to qualify for citizenship
- Alien Act: gave the president deportation power that they deem a threat or detain them during times of war
- Sedition Act: made it illegal to criticize the president or congress (or they could face imprisonment)
