While the West crashed The Eastern Roman Empire was resurrected as the Byzantine Empire. The Byzantine Empire lasted for a century. Byzantine was good with trade and was a diverse society. The Byzantine Empire left a significant cultural legacy, influencing both the Orthodox Church and the renaissance of Greek and Roman studies. This gave way to the Renaissance.
