Description:
Thanks to the inaction of progressives against the rising violence against black people, thousands move north. During the war, new opportunities in northern manufacturing. About 2 million went North during and after WW1. Similar after WW2. The demographics of big northern cities change dramatically. Led to the formation of black communities in manufacturing districts. Often bad living conditions in these locations.
