Description:
"Me·thuʹse·lah lived for 187 years and then became father to Laʹmech. After becoming father to Laʹmech, Me·thuʹse·lah lived for 782 years. And he became father to sons and daughters. So all the days of Me·thuʹse·lah amounted to 969 years, and then he died." (Gen 5:25-27)"He died in 2370 B.C.E., the year in which the Flood began. But the Scriptures say that Methuselah “died,” not that he perished in the Deluge as a result of divine execution."
