Urban migration (jan 1, 1860 – jan 1, 1900)

Description:

From the 19th to 20th century a large number of African Americans migrated from the South to the North of the United States. Several went up North to face less racial prejudice, their cotton crops were being destroyed by the boll Weevil, and there were several more job opportunities and then North since many whites were off fighting in the war.
