Theodore Roosevelt’s Square Deal: Trust-busting (jan 1, 1907 – jan 1, 1912)

Description:

One of Roosevelt’s main goals was to bust these corrupt trusts such as northern securities company which consisted of different railroads in which The Supreme Court ruled in favor of him and these railroad companies were broken into different companies. One of the most powerful and corrupt trusts at the time with Standard Oil which Roosevelt also was able to breakdown, along with over 40 other corporations. However, he did not take down every trust and he did see the difference between good trusts and bad trusts.
