Attitudes and Motives; scientific management- (jan 1, 1896 – jan 1, 1916)

Description:

The progressive movement was made up of a diverse group of individuals who were demanding reforms because they believed that society had to undergo some serious changes. Frederick W. Taylor was able to find a method to organize individuals in an efficient way which was called the scientific management system by timing the output of individuals who worked at factories. Several progressives thought that scientific managers could be fit for the government and that they would make it more efficient, rather than the corrupt political bosses who were in power at the time.
