Kansas-Nebraska act (dec 1, 1853 – jan 1, 1854)
Description:
In 1854 the senator of Illinois had the idea to have the part of land which is called Nebraska become Kansas, Nebraska. which was called the Kansas-Nebraska act. but the act had some backlash to it, because there was a very possible way that slaves could go back into territories that it was banned in. when people realized that it broke into a violent debate which led to the civil war
