Protesting the
Stamp Act (oct 7, 1765 – oct 25, 1765)
Description:
Protests began to arise as a way for the government to hear the colonies and their view on things. Two group arose in the midst of the controversy, The Sons of Liberty and The Daughters of Liberty. These two groups came about as a way to intimidate the tax agents. It was like an Act of rebellion saying that they didn’t care what the government had to say because they didn’t care what we had to say. Though their methods may be seen as radical at times, they were a light for the colonist in the colonies and people were applauding them and their efforts. It was as if they struck another wave of confidence within the colonies to keep fighting back against the British Government
