Urbanization: Changes in the Nature of Cities (jan 10, 1900 – jan 10, 1920)
Description:
The urbanization and industrialization in America developed at the same time. Almost 40% of Americans lived in towns or cities by 1900 and by 1920, more of them lived in urban areas than rural areas. Many of the Americans in their rural areas decided to seek new economic opportunities by moving to the cities, leaving the farms in search of industrial and commercial jobs.
