Impact of Industrialization: The Expanding Middle Class (SOC, WXT) (jun 1, 1890 – jun 1, 1915)
Description:
One of the largest social impacts of Industrialization was the creation of a plethora of jobs that gave way to the rise and expansion of a middle class.Given the rise of the factory system and large industry business owners, many business owners required middle men to manage their factories. Some of the jobs created were specialized for white collar workers, jobs for accountants, clerical workers, and salespeople, paid a good amount of money to allow for individuals to gradually gain wealth and form part of the middle class, ultimately, expanding the middle class. As wealth increased in the nation so did the middle class with more business owners requiring more white collar workers.
