Description:

Mussolini had served as an editor for socialist papers and as a labor leader for several years until he was elected onto the congress in 1912. He edited the Avanti, the Socialist Party's daily paper, while only 29 years old, and helped to increase the energy in the ranks of Socialists in Italy. His vocalness and energy as a youth was paired with his shared sympathies across the country to allow for rapid action in the party.
