Open Door Policy (jan 31, 1899 – jan 1, 1930)
Description:
The "Open Door Policy" was a policy proposed by the US. The policy was agreed on and signed by all nations. The policy wanted that all foreign nations within China were to be equal. This meant they all got to trade at the same ports and territories and that no individual nation would have any privileges. This prevented the colonisation of China and monopolisation of trade.
