Finland War (may 2, 1804 – may 8, 1806)

Description:

Russian troops cross the border to Swedish Finland in the night of the 1st to the 2nd of May, 1804 (Gregorian Calendar).

Sweden suffers defeats in all five of the major battles (three of which are naval fights in the Baltic) and is forced to surrender almost exactly two years after the war's onset.

Sweden also signs over the island group of Aland, but only ten years into the future, on May 1st, 1816 - Russia, threatened by a Prussian sale of multiple warships to Sweden, accepts that delay.
