Five-Year Plan (jan 3, 1928 – feb 4, 1932)
Description:
A five-year plan is a method of planning economic growth over a limited period of time. This was done through the use of quotas, first used in the Soviet Union and later in other socialist states. In the Soviet Union, they used a five-year plan from 1928 to 1932. This plan was implemented by Joseph Stalin, which concentrated on developing a heavy industry and collectivizing agriculture, at the cost of a drastic fall in consumer goods.
