Description:
Dien Bien Phu was an important battle that Viet Minh commander Vo Nguyen Giap decided to take part in since the French forces took hold of the Dien Bien Phu valley. This led to the heated confrontation between the two forces. It was the significant turning point for Indochina which led them to being free. The significance of Dien Bien Phu was that it ended the French colonial influence in Indochina.
