Geneva Accords (Vietnam War) (apr 26, 1954 – jul 20, 1954)
Description:
The Geneva Accords was an agreement that divided Vietnam at the 17th parallel. Within this agreement, Vietnamese citizens were allowed to relocate themselves to either Northern or Southern Vietnam. This affected the Cold War because the U.S. didn’t want direct involvement, but due to the cold war, they also did not want Ho Chi Minh to spread communism throughout Vietnam either.
