Montgomery Bus Boycott (dec 5, 1955 – dec 20, 1956)

Description:

Sparked by the arrest of Rosa Parks, African Americanss refused to ride city buses in Montgomery, Alabama. Thiss was in protest of the segregated seating. This is regarded as the first large-scale US protest against racial segregation. During this period, the number of people using busses dropped by 70%.
