Description:

President Roosevelt responded to the progressive movements demands for reforms by pursuing a policy of an activist presidency. He used hi presidential platform to promote his programs and rally the public to support his programs and he referred to this practice as using his "bully pulpit." His use of the bully pulpit and the public's view of him intervening ignorer to solve issues elevated the office of the presidency once more and therefore, strengthened Executive power.
