Description:
A war between North Vietnam and South Vietnam. The North was allied with the communists (and was communist) while the south was allied with the United States. It led to political unrest in the U.S. as citizens and officials had different opinions on America’s involvement in Vietnam. It was ultimately a communist victory (the formation of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam), and served as a development beneficiary towards the global communist cause.Added to timeline:
