Geneva Accords (Vietnam War) (apr 26, 1954 – jul 20, 1954)
Description:
Agreements regarding the reunification of Vietnam. France withdrew from Indo-China. The agreement was to free Vietnam from French colonialist practices. However, a lot of the world’s major players were unsupportive, including the U.S., and ultimately refused to sign the accords. These were a big contribution to Vietnam’s divide.
