Bolsheviks (may 24, 1903 – nov 9, 1917)

Description:

Bolsheviks was a group of Russian political factio, which was led by Lenin. The Bolsheviks took over the Russian government on October 25, 1917, when the killed Czar Nicholas II and his family. The Bolsheviks became in power of Russia. Bolsheviks continued to be a highy centralized, disciplined, and a professional group. After the February Revolution in 1917, the Bulsheviks became very popular among workers and soldiers in Russia. They especially became polpular after April, when Lenin returned to Russia, where he demanded immediate peace and when the Soviets, the workers’ councils, went into power. By October, the Bolsheviks had majorities in both Petrograd and Moscow Soviets. They were overthrew by the Provisional Government, who the second Congress of Soviets approved and formally took power in Russia.
