Berlin Blockade/ Berlin Airlift (0h 53min, jun 24, 1948 y – may 12, 1949)

Description:

The Allies had decided to divide Berlin into four zones, three of which were of western cities contained within the Soviet Zone of Germany. The Soviets wanted to stop the cities’ plans as well as to control all of Berlin, setting up a blockade to restrict importing goods by land. As a result of this, the Berlin Airlift strategy was implemented, which was importing goods through a flight from the Allies to the Western cities. Eventually, the blockade was lifted.
Blockade shows the start of eliminating freedom from East Germany (i.e. asserting that the communist government and their allies don't need assistance).
