Attitudes and Motives: Scientific Management (jan 1, 1900 – jan 1, 1917)
Description:
As the period of imperialism continued in America, a social change within society also occurred. People of various backgrounds began to notice America's rise in population, diversity, urbanization, and new jobs. Groups became known as progressives varying from church leaders to feminists all arguing for equal opportunities in various topics. Among the different social movements like equal pay, gender equality, were those of the scientific management. Many progressives were in favor of science, and with America's government the strongest in the world, they believed that bringing in factual evidence through science would balance democracy and ensure it runs accurately and smoothly.
