Whiskey's Rebellion (jan 1, 1791 – jan 1, 1794)
Description:
Whiskey's Rebellion came about when a tax by Alexander Hamilton was placed on Whiskey. A group a farmers refused to pay the tax and instead of paying they attack the revenue collectors. Although we know the most talked about point in the Whiskey Rebellion is in 1794 when things began to get out of hand and the government had to put an end to this uprising. They sent up to 15,000 soldiers to contain the situation. But the rebellion really started almost immediately after the tax was passed.
