Yongle reigned (jan 1, 1403 – jan 1, 1424)
Description:
The Ming Emperor Yongle ruled from 1403-1424. He launched a series of maritime expeditions throughout the Indian Ocean Basin and showed the colors of China as far away as Malindi in East Africa, but alas Yongle's inheritors had eventually discontinued the maritime expeditions as they were very expensive. His successors did maintain the tightly centralized government, though.
