Description:
Established in 1279, the Yuan Dynasty was a Mongol ruled era filled with many attempts of conquest for expansion as well as the establishment of independent traditions. Under the Yuan Dynasty, Chinese culture was actively rejected. The distrust in paper money led to the breakdown of their economy, and power struggles along with civil war led to the demise of the Mongol rule.
