Rebuilding of Great Wall (jan 1, 1480 – jan 1, 1570)
Description:
While there have been walls dating back to the fourth century BCE, they had long since fallen into ruin and disrepair. The Ming campaigned to build a bigger and better wall, taking over a century and thousands of workers to complete. At the end of it all the wall stretched 2500 kilometers, was 10-15 meters high, and included watchtowers and accommodations for soldiers patrolling.
