Spanish Conquest of the Inca (jul 11, 1530 – mar 11, 1533)
Description:
Francisco Pizarro lead his men to the Inca capital and proceeded to hold their emperor captive. They held him for ransom, and when it was paid, killed him anyway. Without his rule the empire fell apart quite quickly and was easily conquered by the Spanish. Key concept 4.3
